Non-terminating decimals are decimals that keep going and don’t stop. There are two kinds:
Repeating decimals:
These decimals have a pattern of digits that repeats indefinitely. After a certain point in the decimal sequence, the same group of numbers continues to appear over and over again.
For example:
- has the number 6 that repeats without end
- has the sequence 57 that keeps repeating
- has the sequence 123 that keeps repeating
Non-repeating decimals:
These decimals do not have any repeating patterns. They go on forever, with no sequence of digits that repeats.
